Junior Developer (Student Worker) - Alpha Solutions

If your goal is to work in a leading IT-consultancy agency while also being hands-on in a prominent manufacturer of luxury products that is deeply rooted in the Danish design tradition, this position will be perfect for you.

Position Overview
We are seeking two motivated and talented student workers to join Alpha Solutions’ Louis Poulsen team as a Junior Developer, working as a full stack developer on louispoulsen.com. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possesses a solid technical foundation, and is able to work collaboratively in a close cooperation between Alpha Solutions and Louis Poulsen.

Alpha Solutions is the software development partner of Louis Poulsen, and you will be a key member of the Louis Poulsen team at Alpha Solutions. Your focus will exclusively be on Louis Poulsen, and you will be dividing your time between the Alpha Solutions office and Louis Poulsen’s office, both located in central Copenhagen.

The position is part-time (student worker) with an expected average of 10-20 hours per week which is to be agreed upon employment.

Core Assignments

 

  • Maintain and develop features on louispoulsen.com to enhance the user experience.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving website-related issues and bugs.
  • Contribute to the integration of third-party services and APIs.
  • Support the optimization of website performance and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Work closely with the project manager to deliver assignments on time and within scope.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Microsoft .NET).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

The ideal candidate is fluent in English as this is the company language of Louis Poulsen, while Danish, Italian, Japanese or Korean would be considered a bonus.
